Darlene LeClair – Acrylic by Palette knife
Darlene LeClair started out using oils but is currently painting in acrylic. Her forte is desert landscapes of the Southwest. There is ongoing joy in creating images on a blank canvas with constant inspiration from the challenging aspects of painting. The pleasure received when a piece of work is appreciated is greater than any monetary gain from sales.
Darlene joined Desert Artisans’ Gallery in 1992 and has served on the board since 1993. She has received numerous awards and ribbons for art work displayed at Pima County Fairs as both an amateur and a professional. She continues to attend workshops, the most recent one conducted at the Scottsdale School of Art in Scottsdale, Arizona, conducted by renown impressionist Kent Wallis. Darlene was recently featured in Phoenix Home & Garden and on the first issue of Tucson Happenings.
