Le Craven – Photography
Le Craven juried into Desert Artisan’s Gallery in 2010 after losing an argument with her family. They saw some photos of Europe and challenged her to make something of her “artwork”! While Le had enjoyed taking photos since childhood with hand–me-down cameras, she never dreamed of becoming a professional photographer. As a kid with eye problems, shooting photos was a way of overcoming. As an adult, business and family interests were the focus of her life until she decided to pursue an IMBA degree in 2003 which included the opportunity to study in France for six months. Le purchased her first digital camera to record her travels and as she posted her adventures online for her family’s private enjoyment, her photography career was quietly begun.
The theme of Le’s art is “All The West Places” starting from the midwest to the west coast and, of course, including western Europe. In recent years she has focused on Southern Arizona, Lake Tahoe, and Northern California; has twice been a guest speaker for one of the largest camera clubs in the US; and a guest artist at the DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun.
