Lyle Rayfield – Jewelry
Lyle Rayfield is an award-winning metal clay artist and a Senior Instructor for Art Clay World USA. She is also a Rio Rewards PMC Certified Artisan and an Accredited Teacher for Hadar’s ClayTM. After many years of various jewelry ventures, Lyle discovered the world of metal clay and expanded her love of teaching into the metal clay community. She is a studio jewelry artist and currently offers classes on a regular basis at her home in Tucson, AZ, as well as at various local and national arts education venues.
Lyle’s inspiration stems from the wonders of nature…earth, sea, and sky. She works with silver, as well as copper, bronze, and steel, and often complements her pieces with gemstones and beads. Several of her pieces have been honored in national competitions. She also regularly writes step-by-step jewelry tutorials for Metal Clay Today, an online jewelry e-zine.
In her own words: “As a teacher, I love to ignite a spark in my students and guide them in opening unknown doors to their creativity. In creating jewelry, my desire is to enhance life’s experiences with beauty and celebration in the form of personal adornment.”
