Van Gogh Celebration a Swirling Success!
Our August 9th van Gogh celebration was buzzing from 10 am to 1 pm, with visitors flocking in for art, conversation, and a touch of whimsy. Nearly everyone posed for a selfie with our life-size Vincent van Gogh cutout, while Liz Halsted wove a Starry Night-inspired tapestry that sold before she even finished it. Linda Levine recreated The Starry Night in oils, discovering firsthand its intricate beauty, and Carla Prinster brought color to ceramic greenware. Susan Meyer painted sunflowers in homage to Vincent’s famous blooms, and Theresa Poalucci reimagined The Starry Night with a cactus and adobe village in honor of our desert home. Guests enjoyed cookies and cupcakes topped with yellow stars, picked up free bookmarks with van Gogh quotes, and entered to win a book of 500 of his paintings.
