Irene Klar
Irene has used color, textiles, pattern and people as her inspiration for over 40 years. Her paintings, watercolors and original prints (etchings and silkscreens) are represented in galleries across the US and Canada and have been exhibited internationally.
Irene is a graduate of McGill University and the University of Alberta. Her work is in numerous public and corporate collections and has been used for fundraising by a variety of organizations such as Amnesty International and USC. Her etchings are the focus of the book “Common Threads: the etchings of Irene Klar”. Her illustrations appear in “Nine Minutes” published in Korea and on several book covers.
The following three Irene Klar etchings were awarded the Jurors’ Prize in the NightVisions Exhibition, Coconino Center for the Arts, Flagstaff, AZ. Show reuns ay 27 - Aug 26, 2022.
