Susan Meyer - Watercolor

In 1990 I moved to Tucson on a warm February day.  I immediately fell in love with the warmth of the area and the people.  The colors of the sunsets were so vivid that we would applaud some of the more striking ones.  I came from a desert, but this desert was so green and colorful and alive.  

I took many day trips to try to go to events and submerge myself in the culture.  I was born in El Paso, Texas but this was the west as I remembered from my childhood.  The Folklorico dresses were just so captivating in their movements and colors.
